Required Reading

In order to participate in the Link & Blog Challenge community, and within our interactive fun forum, and other features you must agree to our terms and conditions stated below. Link & Blog Challenge reserves the right to add to these terms and conditions at anytime in the future as we deem necessary. All members are responsible for knowing the information contained in the following terms and conditions and code of conduct. We realize this is boring for most to read, but necessary!

Member Agreement:

Users are required to provide their name, create a username, password and submit a valid e-mail address. Each member has the ability to establish a user name, which becomes a permanent part of their public profile. However, you must choose a user name wisely as it cannot be changed later! Only one account per user is allowed. Your personal information provided will not be sold by Link & Blog Challenge or its owners.

Neither the Administrators of our site, or the Moderators participating, are responsible for the privacy practices of any user. However, we assure you that certain information you provide such as your email address will not be accessible by other members, nor by the public.

This site may contain links to other web sites and files. We have no control over the content and cannot ensure it will not be offensive or objectionable to you. We will, however, remove links and/or material that we feel is inappropriate as we become aware of them, and we encourage others within our community to bring them to our attention.

As a member, you agree that you will not post any copyrighted material that is not owned by yourself within the use of our community, your private messaging system, and/or within our forums. We are therefore authorized by you to remove or modify any data submitted by you to our community, if for any reason we feel the material or links constitute a violation of our policies, whether stated, implied, or not. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and or editors of our link directories have the right to remove, edit or move any link or material at any time should they see fit, and that they will be held harmless by doing so.

You agree that you will not post and/or submit any material, or urls leading to content, that is vulgar, abusive, obscene, harassing, hateful, slanderous, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually or adult oriented, or violates any laws. You also agree not to post any links and/or material that may violate any applicable laws. These prohibited behaviors include, (but are not limited to):

* "Masking" by using alternative characters, spellings, or spaces to get around profanity filters, and combinations of words that produce an offensive result .

* Filter testing is prohibited.

* Discussion of, or in-character enactments of "cybering" or sexually explicit material.

* Discussion of, or in-character enactments of graphic violence.

* Hate speech (e.g. racial, ethnic, sexist, homophobic and religious slurs).

* Promotion of, or engaging in certain illegal activities, such as illegal substance, drug paraphernalia, rape or solicitation of a minor, computer hacking, and copyright violation.

* Harassment of another specific person, persistent badgering, or continued personal attacks on the boards or within other areas of our community such as the personal messaging system.

* Trolling or baiting by putting to the screen inflammatory statements designed to elicit a negative response from the community.

* Spamming through repeated posts, or off-topic content by word or intent to boards or lists (e.g. scrolling, flooding, polling, or by "bumping" a boards post more than once in 48 hours). Spamming includes advertising or promoting a business or commercial site without prior permission, or within an area of our community where prohibited. Use of email addresses posted in our community for the purpose of sending unsolicited email or PMs for commercial purposes is prohibited.

* Reregistering a banned username, a variation of a banned name, or declarations under a new screen name that you are "really" the banned name or attempts to resubscribe under another address after being put on REVIEW by the moderator.

* Members also agree to not hot-link images or photos from our site. Certain photos or images may be available to copy, but hot-linking is prohibited.

Disciplinary Actions:

Disruptive behaviors such as those listed above, but not limited to the above, are grounds for removal and would result in being banned from our community. Our administrators are the final judges of whether a member's behavior qualifies as inappropriate or disruptive. If a member of Link & Blog Challenge has demonstrated he or she cannot behave, the member will initially have his/her profile banned and will eventually lose his or her username.

If you witness inappropriate actions in our community, or other areas that you believe harms a guest, damages Link & Blog Challenge, or violates some third-party's rights, please make a note of the offense and notify us via email through our contact form.

Disciplinary action such as being banned from the community can also occur if an individual abuses the advantage of link exchange with others. We have creative means to encourage link exchange within blog post content. If a member is found to take advantage of receiving links from other members, but then deletes outgoing links to the other members, we encourage members to report those issues to us, and the offending member may lose their membership and be banned from our community.

In Closing:

Any advice or opinions expressed within our community or private messaging system are not necessarily those of Link & Blog Challenge or it's owners. Although we will do everything within our power to immediately delete material which violates our code of conduct, you agree to hold Link & Blog Challenge and its owners harmless for any damages you experienced as a result thereof, or by the material submitted by another member. Any advice or information provided in areas such as within our forum is not endorsed by our site or its owners, and we therefore take no responisibility if you choose to utilize that advice, nor do we take any responsibilty if any of the information causes you harm. You, as a member of our community are fully responsible for any information or file supplied by you.
