Member Profile Link Member User ID: supermom Blog URL Description: Well, go figure when the family has a couple hours free from any appointments I will at least hear one of them announce that dreadful statement "MOM! I’M BORED…" Ugh…. I know that you’ve heard it too, or some form with the same meaning….unless your kid is less than a year, which in that case, just wait. You’ll see what I mean! When I hear them say it I think so many things…. ~ I am a bad mother - I am not giving my kids enough attention. ~ My childhood….when did I have the nerve to “announce” my boredom to my parents? Don’t think so. ~ How can this child be bored not just 10 minutes ago we were “insert random weekly activity here” ~ Maybe he means he’s hungry, not bored, just hungry and he is confused. When it comes down to it, I “know” what he is saying. My kids want to do something FUN, something DIFFERENT and something FAST! So me “planning” a zoo trip for Sunday will not cure the ‘boredom blues’ my 6 year old have on Friday. What is that saying? Strike while the iron is hot? That is what I have got to do! Within minutes we’ve got to be doing ’something’. Lucky for my kiddos I am a fairly young mom who not that long ago was a camp counselor for underprivileged youth. This gave me lots of experience dealing with kids who needed fun and unique ways to have a good time. I literally have volumes of book on this type of stuff. Obviously a lot is not suitable for my 7 and 4 year old, but between the volumes of books and my creative little mind I have lots to share! I hope you can turn to this blog when you are looking for things to do for your kids next birthday, play date or anytime your kids tell you MOM! I’m bored! USA |

Aaron Roselo : Teenage Angst Regression Member Profile Link Member User ID: kazarareta Blog URL Description: About the Blog This blog has achieved several milestones since its public opening in 2004. I originally started blogging manually in hardcoded HTML, FrontPage and Photoshop in late 2002 but sadly all of the entries got lost in space. I started out in Geocities and then my friend Kevin provided me webspace for my own blog in the now defunct Light-Overload Network (LOL). I then moved to the more personal AaronRoselo.com, also now defunct. Currently, my blog is hosted on my own webspace, AaronRoselo.net and I myself cannot explain why I shifted my domain name from .com to .net. I have yet to revive my graphic design portfolio which has been sitting down on my external hard disk for years. The common themes of my blog primarily revolve in things that I like. These are on high school and college life, school frustrations, local art and design progressions, all kinds of music, technology mumbo jumbo, long conversations, thought-provoking self-realizations and pop/street culture. I tend to separate my blog from politics-themed posts but there are a lot of other blogs who offer that so do drop by there. I have received various recognitions for my work online, including the following: Philippine Blog Awards 2004: Best Blogger of the Year (3rd Place) Philippine Web Awards 2005: Semifinalist, Personal Category Philippine Blog Awards 2005: Best Photoblog of the Year (Finalist) Philippine Blog Awards 2005: Best Blog of the Year (Finalist) Inquirer7’s 2bu Blog Spotlight TheGuidon Interview (Ateneo) MISa Perceptions Blog Contest On Design The Philippines is budding with lots of graphic and web designers and although it is only now that people are really getting noticed – and paid in the graphic design field, I consider myself as a graphic pimp. I love everything and anything related to design, being born into a family with jobs and profiles related to the arts. Although I do not consider myself as a great ‘artist’ if you look at it in the terms of drawing realistically, I consider myself as a budding designer that will eventually save the world. Err.
